I am Marty Kogel, husband, father, and servant.
Lara and I have been married for 28 years and have two amazing children most of you may have met. Julie works in the children's ministry and graduated from ETBU. Tanner plays guitar in the band and is going to UTD. We have a new family member also. Molly is our new shepherd mix.
I came to Christ when I was 13 but thought I new better for far too long. I rededicated my life to Christ when He blessed us with our daughter Julie. It was a miracle that hit me right in the heart and opened my eyes. Thank you Lord!
I grew up in St. Louis and moved to Dallas as soon as I graduated high school. I worked and went to Richland for 2 years to earn some money to go to Texas Tech. I graduated with an undergrad in electrical engineering and worked in that field until about 5 years ago when I had had enough of that and pursued a career change in my fifties. I had always enjoyed investing and finance and so I changed course and followed that dream and continue in that endeavor today.
Three things that have always been consistent and important to me for as long as I can remember are good friends, a great love of music, and a great love of working out in all kinds of ways.
It is a pleasure to serve Him. I serve the youth as my main endeavor at Still Water along with being an elder. If there is ever anything I can be of service to you and your family on please let me know.
